FAQ
Is against. really offline?
Yes. Your data lives on your device. We never receive it.
Do you sell my data?
No. There's no account and no server-side store of your usage.
How is data encrypted?
Sensitive fields are encrypted with AES (256-bit, CBC) on-device, using a key generated on first run and stored in your phone's secure enclave.
What happens if I lose my phone?
You can export your data as JSON at any time. Restore on a new device by importing. The key is regenerated; old encrypted data without the original key is unreadable, which is the point.
Will the app work without internet?
Yes. Internet is only used for optional push notifications. All core features work offline.
Is there a paid tier?
Not at launch. We may introduce paid features later (e.g., advanced analytics), never paywalling the core tracking.
Can my partner see my data?
Not through the app. There is no sharing built in. If you choose to share data with someone, you'll do so by exporting JSON yourself.
Is this a treatment?
No. against. is a self-monitoring tool. People with significant distress should work with a qualified clinician. The app can be an adjunct to therapy, not a replacement.
What about iCloud or Google backup?
If you have device-level cloud backup enabled, your phone's backup may include the app's encrypted database. The data inside remains encrypted with your local key, which is also stored in your phone's keychain (and may sync via iCloud Keychain or Android equivalents). Disable cloud backup for the app if you want zero off-device copies.
Why a .porn domain?
Because the URL is the message. We considered euphemisms; we chose directness. The site itself is dignified. What's on it matters more than the TLD.
Where can I read your privacy policy?
/legal/privacy-policy/. Short, written in plain English, no surprises.
